Licensed Minister.
For ministers in part-time or full-time ministry with limited experience. Authorizes preaching, marriage officiation, baptism, and all sacerdotal duties.

Frequently Asked
Getting ordained in Louisiana, answered.
Do I need to register with Louisiana to officiate weddings as an ordained minister?
Yes. Louisiana Revised Statutes §9:202-204 require marriage officiants to register with a parish clerk of court before performing marriages. AEGA Ordained Ministers register under §9:204 as Christian ministers, and the AEGA credential is the underlying ordination standing the parish registration is built on. Once registered, an AEGA-ordained minister may officiate in any of the 64 Louisiana parishes.
Is AEGA based in Louisiana?
Yes. AEGA Ministries International is headquartered at 2149 Highway 139, Monroe, Louisiana 71203. Founder and CEO Rev. Dr. Henry Harbuck is based in Louisiana, and the fellowship's Presiding Bishops Rev. Dr. Dale English and Rev. Dr. Ray Foy also serve from Louisiana. Louisiana-credentialed ministers carry direct fellowship with senior leadership at the home office.
How long does AEGA ordination take in Louisiana?
Most AEGA credentials, including ordination, are issued within three to five weeks of a complete application. Louisiana applicants follow the same timeline as ministers in any U.S. state. The Credential Committee review covers doctrinal alignment with the historic Spirit-filled stream AEGA has carried since 1976, references, and ministry experience.
Can a Louisiana-ordained AEGA minister also become a chaplain?
Yes. AEGA Ordained Minister credentials are the prerequisite for chaplain endorsement. Louisiana hosts federal facilities at Pollock, Oakdale, and Pineville, plus state Department of Corrections institutions and major medical systems in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport where AEGA-ordained Louisiana chaplains serve.
How does AEGA ordination compare to online ordination services in Louisiana?
AEGA ordination is a sacred setting-apart act inside a covenant fellowship, not a same-day certificate. AEGA requires an application, doctrinal review by the Credential Committee, references, and ministry experience, plus a monthly giving commitment for Licensed and Ordained tiers. AEGA Ordained Ministers register with a parish clerk of court under §9:204; many online ordinations do not produce a credential a Louisiana parish clerk will accept.
